DEVICE FINDER

Here when you need it.

Tap to start listening once, then just say your wake phrase to sound the alarm—no more tapping needed.

Choose from 20 included video wallpapers or add AI for $2.99/month to create five custom eight-second loops monthly. Finder subscription is $0.99/month separately.

Before walking away, tap Start listening and leave Ya Found Me open on screen as the last app or website you use. Switching apps or tabs, or locking your phone, stops listening. Keep the screen awake and media volume up.

Keep the app open and your screen awake to find your device. Use an optional wallpaper while listening.

01 / YOUR WAKE PHRASE

“Hey, find me”

Make it yours. Change it whenever you like.

A distinctive phrase reduces accidental alarms. It is not a password or voice identity check.

02 / YOUR FINDER SOUND

Car horn

A real vehicle horn recording with a distinctive honk.

You're in control. Your browser may send speech to its recognition provider. Ya Found Me does not save recordings.

Video wallpapers · Choose your wallpaper

Choose from 20 included silent video wallpapers or your saved custom creations. Your selection loops automatically while listening.

Cyberpunk Rain Drive · Appears five seconds after you start listening.

Prefer no wallpaper? Choose Black screen. Your wake phrase sounds the alarm and reveals the usual found-phone screen. Tap anywhere on the black screen to show controls. The screen stays on, not locked or off.

Included six-second loops and your custom eight-second loops. Motion does not guarantee protection from screen burn-in and can use more battery or warm your phone. Black screen mode remains available.

Screen & volume settings

The finder automatically requests that your screen stay awake while listening. If your phone overrides that request, these settings may help:

  • iPhone or iPad: in Settings → Battery, turn off Low Power Mode. Then go to Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Lock and choose Never, if available.
  • Android: turn off Battery Saver or Power Saving in Settings → Battery. In Display settings, choose the longest available Screen timeout or Sleep time. Names vary by phone.

Before walking away, tap Start listening and leave Ya Found Me open on your screen as the last app or website you use. Do not switch apps, change browser tabs, or lock your phone: listening stops when this app is no longer on screen. These settings cannot guarantee uninterrupted listening. A longer screen timeout uses more battery; restore your usual settings afterward for battery life and security.

Real-device check: Samsung

In a user-reported test on one Samsung phone, Screen timeout was set to 15 seconds and Notifications volume to zero. The screen stayed on during dark listening mode. After tapping Stop, the screen dimmed and turned off normally. This is encouraging and consistent with the stay-awake feature working on that phone in that test, but it is not a guarantee for every device or browser.

The phone’s microphone indicator also briefly disappeared and returned as speech recognition restarted every few seconds. That can reflect the microphone stopping and starting between recognition sessions; it does not by itself confirm that your wake phrase will be detected or that listening is uninterrupted. The screen staying awake does not mean the microphone is continuously active, and the restarts are not proof of what kept the screen awake.

Build confidence with a quick check on your own phone: start listening, leave this screen open past your usual screen timeout, then say your wake phrase and confirm that the finder alarm sounds. Tap Stop when finished. Dark listening mode keeps the screen dark, not switched off. Keep Media volume up; muting Notifications also silences other apps’ notification sounds, so restore your usual level afterward.

Turn your media volume all the way up

For the loudest finder sound, set and keep your phone’s Media volume at maximum while using the finder. This may be called Music or Media & Apps volume, depending on your phone. Ringtone, notification, call, and system alarm volumes are separate and do not control this app’s finder sound. The app cannot turn up your phone’s volume for you.

To adjust the correct volume, play a sound preview from the Sound library, then use your phone’s volume buttons. Start at a comfortable level, keep the phone away from your ears, and raise it to maximum. Check that sound comes from the phone, not connected headphones or a Bluetooth speaker.

Listening chime help

Your phone or browser may play a sound each time speech recognition starts or restarts. The finder does not add a listening-start chime and cannot switch off your device’s sound itself. Lowering notification volume only quiets notification sounds; it does not turn notifications off. Notifications can still appear, and your phone will vibrate if notification vibration is enabled.

01 Set a phrase only you'll think to say.

02 Tap Start listening once. Leave the app open; it listens for your wake phrase.

03 Say your phrase—no tap needed to trigger the alarm. Follow the sound, then tap Stop.
